I have a Denali, I have owned it for about six years now. I have totally rebuilt the front of this truck from brakes, inner and outer tie rod ends, upper and lower control arms, shocks, pitman arm, idler arm, sway bar links and bushings, wheel bearings, and front axles. My issue is I still have a noisy front end while driving, it kind of sounds like maracas shaking up front. The steering still feels loose in the steering wheel while driving. Can anyone point me in the right direction to what these issues might be?

Good morning.

Did you have this aligned when all the work was completed?

Did you replace the stabilizer link kits?

Is there any play in the steering box?

Not much to go on here.

Did you have the rear end checked? Worn parts in the rear will cause loose steering.

Good morning.

Yes, I have had the truck alignment done and installed a stabilizer link kit. I have also installed rear shocks and sway bar bushings in the rear. There is very little play in the steering box, I thought that was the normal amount of play.

How much play do you have in the wheel?

About half inch of play at least.

That is normal. One inch is the max spec for play.
