No start

Friend of mine's car, wouldn't start but everything lights up on dash. i wasn't where the car was he scanned it and i saw a starter operation code present. it's almost always a starter code. I changed many of them. changed the starter still not turning over but there is a click from the starter when i tried to start it. It has a push button start. The starter operation code is not there anymore no other codes. But once when i tried to start it it gave this code. I also had a jumper on the battery in case it was weak but it isn't.

Let us start with battery voltage. What is the voltage at the battery before trying to start it?

What is the voltage when you try to start it. This load test will help us.

After further testing and digging found water on bottom around the battery, removed it and this what i found. If the large positive cable was barely connected around the corrosion or not connected at all how it is that i was getting a click at the starter? If the positive cable from the corrosion touched the body wouldn't that cause a fuse blow also?

Yes, that could definitely cause the issue.

Get that repaired and give it a try.

I found the parts online, but is there a way to find out what is behind the connectors? like from the other end? they are rusted bad and I am going to try to remove the nuts which I suspect will break.

You have to release those nuts to get to the unit.

Try using a product called Freeze Off. It works great for dissolving rust. It is the best I have ever seen.
