We had the speed sensor change and it drove good for a day or two but the speedometer stop working and now it does not shift out of first.

Good afternoon.
The reason the transmission will not shift is the speedometer is not sending a signal to the PCM.
The first thing I would check is the connector at the sensor. They are common for failing from either loose pins, damaged pins or burned pins.
