No spark, no fuel

Hi guys, i changed water-pump and cambelt on the vehicle listed above 1.5.(i didn't disconnect the battery terminals before unplugging the camshaft and crankshaft sensor). Now car cranks but fuel pump not priming and i have no spark at plugs. Checked cambelt timing 8-10 times and it's good as before. Checked mai relay. It's clicking. Fuel pump relay doesn't click, even after replacing with new one. Tried jumping it to check fuel pump. Fuel pump runs when i jump the coil. Checked all the fuses under dash too. Still no luck. My OBD2 connector links to ECU but no codes shown there.
Ang help please.

One more thing i would like to mention; just before trying to start the car, i have taken out the battery to charge it fully. Can it be because of that??

Hi,

I don't feel the battery being recharged is an issue. Please keep in mind, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so my technical info is very limited.

Since you have done all this work, I have a feeling it has something to do with the crankshaft position sensor. If there is no signal, on many cars it will shut down the fuel to prevent flooding and damage to the catalytic converter.

You mentioned that you have a scanner. If it is a live data scanner, plug it in and see if there is an RPM signal when the engine is cranking. If there is none, recheck the crankshaft position sensor.

I will confirm if the vehicle is sold in the US under a different name. I believe it is the Protégé here, but I need to make sure. Also, please provide the engine size for me. The Protégé has a 1.6L and I need to know if your vehicle is the same.

Hi Joe. Many thanks for reply. Yes it is Mazda protégé in USA but in In NZ its 1.5 and 1.6 option. Its JDM import.
OBD sensor was showing RPMs yesterday.
I just want to inform that i got it running.
So here are the things i had done this morning. I checked the gap between crank pully marks and crank position sensor. And i noticed at junk yard that a crank pulley has a thin plat for with marks on it for crank sensor to read. That plate has a specific side to go in.
I put the key in ignition and fuel pump still didn't prime but car got started after 2 tries.
Again, i cannot thank enough for your time and great advice.

Here are the pictures i took. If you can see in second picture. The surface on the plate is a little thicker on 1 side. That side should face outside to give accurate gap to Crank sensor.
