Hi, My 1990 ea Ford Falcon has lost spark.Have replaced coil and D Module. Cap and Rotor looks fine. What would the next step be? I cranked it with a spark plug on the coil lead earthing the spark plug and it only sparks once.Should it have a constant amount of spark?

I don't know much about these motors but it's a 3.9 CPI.

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi,

This vehicle isn't offered in the US, so my technical information is very limited. Does it have a crankshaft position sensor? Have you checked to make sure engine grounds are good?

Take a look through these links:

Cheers for the reply, yes it does. today I got a second hand distributor setup so I will put all of that in when I pulled the dizzy cap off the hall sensor wires looked rough. so I will try this. I'm hoping it is the problem.

Sounds like a plan. I believe the part you are referring to is the pick up coil. If bad, you will lose spark.

Let me know what you find.
