Long frustrating story, I pulled into my girlfriends driveway and truck was running perfect like no problem. then I said hey I am going to wash my truck, so I washed it. and I decided hey why not was under the hood and make the block look shiny? And it was cold hadn't ran in three to four hours dumped the bucket of soapy car wash on the block then rinsed with a hose. As it was nearing time to take my girlfriend to work I said let's go we hopped in and the truck cranked but didn't start. I checked battery voltage and it came out good so I did some research.. ended up replacing my igniter, ignition coil, found out my distributor has a crankshaft position sensor in it so I replaced that, also new distributor wires, I checked all the fuses and were good I used the ohms setting in my multi-meter to check all my relays and they came out good there is no spark coming out of the ignition coil. I am at a loss here really need this dang thing to start. any suggestions?

Update: Tried to get a code but my diagnostics wont work also I am very confused right now. Was instructed through a YouTube video on how to manually find the code and that's by inserting a conductive metal into E1 and TE1 to receive the code but nothing!

Thanks for the videos really helps, was the key on when you were trying to get the codes? Also the ECU can be bad even if it looks good how does it smell inside? Lets check the EFI relay here is a guide and the ignition wiring diagrams and guide so we can check those as well.

and

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

The ECM doesn't smell weird inside when testing the OHMS with a pin to pin test do I need the pins from both ends such as the one connecting into the ECM and the one connecting into whatever I am testing? for example, if I am testing a wire leading into the ignitor do I need the prongs of my multimeter to touch the wire leading into the ignitor and the wire leading into the ECM??

I ohm tested every wire in every harness, I traced every wire possible I sprayed every connection with electrical spray let them dry then connected them. the max ohm resistance was .2 but no more. I even tested every little prong leading into my computer and same result I don't know what to do from here. any thoughts?

Do you have power (pin 1) and grounds for the ECM working and did you check the EFI relay? Also check the ground cables from the battery to the frame/engine.

Okay, so the wiring is good and you have a new distributor the only thing left is the ECU. I would try to find a used/rebuilt unit and install it. Let me know what happens.

Found out my mass airflow sensor was broken the wires going into the circuit board just fell apart when I gently opened it. so I am going to replace that and then if it's still not going then I'll go for the engine control module. thanks!
