No spark

Was driving the car, shut off, went to restart it cranks but will not start, checked it out no spark. Check all fuses and relays, replace coil, igniter, cap, and rotor, still nothing. I was told this car didn't have a crank pos sensor. Is that true? If not, where is it located and how can I test it? Any other ideas on what it might be? Thanks for your help.

Your suspicions of that not being true are correct. All engines that use a computer require a position sensor. They are correct that there is not a traditional external sensor that monitors the crankshaft rotation but there is one internal to the distributor.

I attached all the info below on this sensor and how to replace it because if you have no spark then that is the likely cause.
