Hi and thanks for using 2carpros.com

The most common cause of this is a bad crankshaft position sensor. Take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-a-crank-shaft-angle-sensor-works

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/symptoms-of-a-bad-crankshaft-sensor

Here is a link that shows in general how one is replaced.

The easiest way to determine if the sensor is bad is by using a live data scanner and checking for an RPM signal when the engine is cranking. If you have one, do that. If there is no signal, replace the sensor.

Here are specific directions for replacing the sensor. The attached pictures correlate with these directions.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.

See Pic 1

2. Remove the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor shield.
1 Remove the CKP shield nut.
2 Remove the CKP shield.

See Pic 2

3. Remove the CKP. Disconnect the electrical connector.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes?

Also, if you have a live data scanner, check to see if there is an RPM signal and let me know what you find.
