No spark

Hi. Overhauled my vehicle listed above b 1.6ie.
I fixed some faulty cables on the harness as well. After assembling, when i turn the key, lights come on, but when i try to start, nothing happens. After that i bridged the starter, it cranked, but no spark. What could be the problem?

Would it be possible for you to forward us the VIN number or at least the engine type fitted to this vehicle? There are several options and various wiring diagrams.

As you can see from these guides, there are many possible causes so it would be helpful to get started with the info above.
