My brake lights and rear turn signals stop working, the middle light works fine. I replaced the multi-function switch with a Delco switch but that did not fix it. Where else might I look?

Hello,

There is a tail light relay #27 that needs to be checked. Here is a guide and the location of the relay along with the wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Thanks Ken, I will check it out this evening or in the morning then I will let you know. Judging by what I read on the internet this seems to be a pretty common problem so I am sure there are others that can use the same help.

Ken, I check this out and I found that the number in your attachment for the fuse panel cover is 13523182 and the number inside of my fuse panel cover is 13596729- 01. Do you have the same information available for this fuse box because I do not find a number 27?

It is a relay in the fuse box #17 which is in the upper left hand corner. Does your PDC have a relay in that position?

Okay, next let's test through the turn signal switch use the wiring diagrams above and this guide.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

If the switch is okay then it sounds like the BCM is out. Please check all fuses on the BCM as well. Here is the location. Please check all wiring

Check out the diagrams (below). Please run some tests and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken
