I have no power steering and no brakes. Does the power steering develop the vacuum for the hydraulic assist brake?

Good morning.

Do you have a diesel engine?

The power steering pump provides pressure to the hydro boost and the steering gear. If the pump fails, you will lose both.

The first thing I would do is to flush the system completely with at least a gallon of fluid to get any debris out of the system. If that does not work, then it may be the pump.
