When I turn the key there is no power. I hooked up my battery charger. The read out on the charger says 14.3 volts 00 amps. Still no movement on the dashboard. I can't unlock my hatch to get to the battery. Any help is greatly appreciated

How did you connect the battery charger? It should be more than 00 amps. I would check two fuses, the first one is the E7 in the fuse near the battery compartment and the other is the C11 fuse in the fuse panel at the left end of the dash.

Thank you, I connected my charger under the hood like the owners manual says to do it. I can't open the hatch or rear door to get to the battery compartment. I will. Try those fuses as soon as I can. Thank you again.

Yes, sometimes when a battery shorts out even a battery charger cant give the voltage needed, can I ask that when the battery charger is on can you turn the headlights on and are they bright?

No, I am getting no kind of a electrical activity. I am trying to find so.eone that tell me if this is the immobilization that Volvo has. I am also wondering if the key needs to be reprogramed.
Thank you for your help

The immobilizer will not cause the car to have 0 electrical, if the battery is shorted and a jump or charging will not help you will need to get to it to change it out. Sorry.

I crawled over everything and into the trunk area. I removed the battery. I ordered a battery that I was told would fit. It was to wide and the terminals were on the wrong side. How important is the tubes on the side of the battery?

The tube is meant for battery acid and fumes to be let out of the battery, so you need it to function correctly.
