My power windows stopped working (all four of them). The mega fuse #4 is not damaged but there seems to be no power running to the fuse receptacle. Adjacent mega fuses are receiving power. Any ideas?

This all began after I replaced the overhead console light mechanism and reattached the overhead interior console.

Hi,

Check the two fuses I circled in the attached wiring schematic. See if there is power to fuse 26.

If there is no power at fuse 4, disconnect the battery and remove the fuse box and check for damage under it.

Let me know.

Thank you! It was a blown fuse 26. Nowhere in the Ford manual is fuse 26 even mentioned as connected with the windows. What else shares fuse 26? Could it have been the front overhead console light repair I did?

The fuse also powers the accessory delay relay. That is basically a timer for different components including the interior lights. So, yes it was the light that caused it. Something shorted and likely, you didn't even realize.

Regardless, I'm glad it's working again. Please feel free to come back in the future if you need anything.

Take care,
Joe
