No power to ignition starting or dash (intermittent)

I am working on a buddies raider and i am loosing all power to the ignition switch. you can drive it down the road and it will randomly loose ignition power. i can restart it with a power probe to the ignition switch and drive back home but it will not have any power to the switch still. it will start up fine the next day or later in the day. i am frustrated because the wiring diagrams are not showing me everything i need. do you have any advise?
