I am not getting power to the AC clutch. I can't find a wiring schematic to figure out if it's the temperature control module or something else. There is no relay for this year.

Hi,

I attached the entire wiring schematic for the AC circuit below, so you have it as a reference.

I read through the schematics, and it does show an AC clutch relay in the under-hood fuse box. It is actuated by fuse 60 which I can locate in the pics. However, they didn't indicate the relay location or number.

In most cases, the relay is located close to the fuse. Take a look at the pics below and let me know if they help.

Take care and let me know what you find.

I've checked the fuse and it is good. I've read that the AC Compressor Clutch Relay should go in location 29 Uplifter 2 Relay, but this vehicle never had a relay there. I can't find any mention of or location for the Engine Controls Ignition Relay. Could the ECU be going bad? Any Ideas?
Thank You

Hi,

You are correct about the relay location. I looked up the uplifter 2 relay. It is for police provisions. See pic 1 below. When I follow the power supply back, it takes me to multiple things but nothing with the AC.

I believe engine controls (ECM) and ignition are the two I highlighted in pic 2 below. Take a look and let me know if that is what you are seeing.

Take care,

Joe

I checked all the fuses and relays in the engine compartment, they all came back good. I also did a wire trace from the ac clutch and the only place I got good tone in the fuse box was at TP1 shown in the photo. At this point I am lost and don’t know where to go from here.
Thank you

Hi,

It took me an hour, but I finally was able to determine why you can't find the relay. It is integral to a printed circuit board in the fuse box. See pic 1. According to my findings, it is not serviceable.

I suspect the box will need to be replaced. I attached diagnostics below that require a bi-directional scan tool to perform.

Take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Take care,

Joe
