Drove home park it and the next day when to start would not turn over. Checked battery... (Hot) I Still charged it.

No power, to dashboard, horn, lights both interior or exterior.

Note: damage steering column:
(prior attempt to steal truck.)
It was still starting..

Note: ignition switch was working after "working it and wiggling it?. Trying to start car" it came out of the column, and now doesn't turn as it did?
but this was after no power and car failure to start.

This sounds like the ignition switch went out which is common. here are instructions in the diagrams below on how to replace it. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Believe ignition switch shorted draining the battery. Removed ignition cylinder. Now have power; but need to replace cylinder and ignition switch. Soon. Thank you.

Hi,

I noticed it has been a couple of days since we heard from you. Have you been able to make progress on the ignition switch? If you could let us know, we would appreciate it. We're interested in knowing.

Sorry I'm late.... promise to do better in the future.... Problem was the damage to the steering column.... Ignition cylinder failed... Ie. unseated out of its "position..." did not turn the ignition switch off.... sat on for several days.... Ruined the battery. replaced steering column... new switch, and new battery... starting find.
Thanks.... As always... for your time... patience.... and expertise....
Be Safe.
