battery okay, nothing at key. it has been a month since i broke off the brass nipple in the head feeding the oil pressure sending unit. i struggled through it and learned how to find TDC and time the vehicle. driving ten minutes into running again the truck shut off and has not started since. on my third attempt at starter i forgot to disconnect negative battery cable and the arc melted wires. i finally discovered five fusible links and replaced them all with the ones on my 1991 1500 which has 70,000 on a GMC crate motor, but i blew the transmission. I have 12.6 volts on battery, all posts good with test light including alternator. changed out what appears to be burnt strand ground wire. it is my work truck but i have been using my mountaineer for roofing. i found a purple wire behind the oil sending unit with plug disconnected from plug receiver which has a black wire. i swear i never noticed it before but either way why would it be unplugged? i have to mention that i have a saboteur x girlfriend who has done some crazy things like vehicle sabotage before, but anyway i need help.
