no power

i have a 1996 ford club wagon with a straight six. It wouldn't turn over and would make one click that came from the solenoid that is by the battery. I replaced the solenoid, hooked everything back up and there is no power to anything. and before I did this I had power to radio and windows and everything. Before replacing the solenoid I undid all the wires that connected to the solenoid and wire wheeled them all clean. I wasn't sure which way to put the wires back on and hooked it up the wrong way. At that point i didn't have power anymore, which is why I bought a new solenoid. when I bought the solenoid I looked in the manual to find out exactly how to hook it up. So, it is all hooked up right and I am wondering what is causing the power loss? Did I blow a master fuse or something? Help, please

check fuse G underhood it's 60 amp then try resetting your anti theft unit. the red and yellow wire from battery should be on same side. also check the two fusible links that shold be connected there as well they may have blown.

fuse G is fine. I could only find on fusible link and it didn't have a fuse in it. It had a solid grey plastic looking fuse plugged in it. that had 2 red wires going into it. I could not find a red and yellow wire from battery for resetting the theft unit. or any red and yellow wire. i unplugged and re plugged everything i could find in that area. no luck

fusible links don't have fuses in them they are the fuse. they burn up like a fuse prior to any damagebeing done. if you have a test light test the solenoid and then where the red wire begins if you have battery voltage there they are good if not you need another and are available at auto parsts.
