no heat/temperature gage high?

While driving the temperature gage went all the way to overheating and hot air turned cold. There is coolant, we changed the temperature gage and thermostat.

Hi,

Are the same things happening since the work was completed? With the engine cold, remove the radiator cap (not the overflow) and see if the coolant level is full. If it is, perform the bleed procedure below and let me know if that takes care of the issue. If it is not low, let me know if the original issues are still occurring.

Hi,

If you used the aforementioned procedure for bleeding, then something is likely putting air into the cooling system. My first thought is a failing head gasket. Take a look through the link below and let me know if you see anything that mirrors what you see on the vehicle:
