No key bypass security system

No key, for vehicle, I can get it to start and run for approximately three seconds, then security system shuts it back off.

Hello,

If you do not have a original key available, you will have to program the new key to the vehicle in order for it to function properly.
To do that programming it will require a key programming capable scan tool.

To add to the above, it is usually cheaper to have a mobile locksmith create the new keys than a dealer if you do not have the proper key programming tools. The 04 uses a system (pass-key 3) that is integrated into the PCM, BCM and instrument panel and it uses a signal from the transponder in the head of the key to deactivate the system. A locksmith can use the VIN and proof of ownership to contact the factory and get the code to allow them to cut the mechanical key. Once that is done, they simply add the key in as a valid key using a scan tool and security access. There is no real method that bypasses this system.
