I believe the issue came from a bad wire harness for a new head unit. I purchased a premade harness for my year car and the type of head unit I was getting. I hooked everything up, but the new radio didn't work at all. I put the original Unit back in. After that the original head unit wasn't working either. That's when I found other problems. The overhead light not working, the clock, MPG screen, and keyless entry.

So far, I have tried checking the fuses, unhooking the battery for a little while; trying the unplug it, plug it back in approach. No codes.

Thankfully all the exterior lights are good. I Drove the car around the block and there doesn't seem to be any other issues.

I'm worried there is some kind of ECU problem. I am hoping that there is some kind of simple reset option.

When you say no code do you do a CAN scan because it sounds like the body control unit is shorted out probably due to the aftermarket wiring harness. To be sure, here is how to perform the scan:

You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

here is a video to show you how:

Here is where the BCM is located and how to replace it, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

I was just using an OBD Reader. I was unaware of the CAN system actually. I'm going to order this tool and get back to you with the results.

No codes, did the scanner work? Let's go over the fuses again with the systems on.

This guide should help:

If the fuses are okay, I am leaning towards the BCM being bad, you can send it out to be tested.

I'm happy to say that everything is fixed. I'm very glad you suggested checking the fuses again. There was a fuse marked as backup that I didn't check originally. I actually checked it by mistake this time and it turns out this fuse was the problem. Thank you so much for all your help.
