Code U0101, no Gear indicator Light, Throttle Body malfunctions and the car does not accelerate properly?

The Gear light indicators won’t come up, car will not accelerate as normal. When i tried to check the functionality of the Throttle body using the ignition mode, the throttle flap won't open when pedal is pressed but will shake a little but when i return the key to off position, it will then open and close.
At start, the car will jerk and off by itself, when i press the throttle the is a serious lag before the engine will respond to the pedal pressed . I scanned the vehicle and only code set is U0101.
How can i perform a test to make sure am not having a wiring mix with another ground wire, etc.
