When 4wd is selected there is no front wheel drive

Both rubber pipes to front hubs were renewed three years ago. Could it be the switch on transmission or induction manifold switch? Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Melanie,

Yes. It could be the switch on the transmission. Here is the diagnostic for this switch and the 4WD low switch.

If you want to try to confirm this prior to digging in and testing it, usually there are some diagnostic trouble codes in the system if a switch has failed. Most part stores offer a free scan and you can get the DTC.

If you get that code and let me know, I can give you a better direction. However, if you feel like testing this first, it does not seem to complicated so you can't go wrong either way.
