Last week I was using a portable air pump with a fix a flat in it. After running for a few minutes, my car shut off and would not restart. After trying about five times it finally started.
I missed work two days in a row. And have tried to get this fixed. I ordered a new ignition switch because I thought that was the problem.(I have to wait two days for it to get delivered).
Upon checking my junction box inside the car over half of the fuses have no power going to them even though the fuses are in good condition.
The battery is at 12.6 V. dome lights, door ajar light (and annoying dinging), headlights, wipers, hazards work just fine.
I’ve tried to dive into and understand wiring. I can say without hesitation it is still not a strong point whatsoever! I think I’m more confused now than when I originally started.
I gave up after trying to read schematics. The only thing I was able to do was test the wires from the ignition switch with a test light. The IG2 10 amp has power (orange). However, cluster 10a (pink) does not. And that is where I gave up.
