Hello, the vehicle sometime would not give a sign of cranking, I checked the voltage or power source on the solenoid, there was none while cranking but sometimes there will be power. With the ignition switch in "on" position, I use wire to connect Power from the battery to the solenoid, the vehicle start. Please could you help me with the cranking circuit diagram?

Hi,

If you get power sometimes and not others to the S terminal on the starter, chances are the starter relay is failing. Here is a link that shows how to test a relay:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

If you look at pic 1 below, it is a portion of the starting system wiring schematic. I highlighted the relay and its location. Pic 2 shows the relay's position in the relay box.

This is where I would start.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Thank you, but for the first diagram you didn't add the top. Please add it.

Here is the entire starting system schematic. Please note this is for an 2007 RX350. I am showing nothing for an 2006. Since these were introduced in 2006, I suspect it was a late production.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

You are very welcome. Please remember, the schematics came from a 2007 manual.

Take care,
Joe
