Can you tell me which wires you tried to move the window, and which window? Do the locks and windows work? It looks like the only common item between them is the body control module. However it could still be a failure in the electric system. I would grab a simple test light and check all the fuses for power on both sides. Check the ones under the hood and in the dash fuse panels. From there you can check for power at the starter solenoid and see if it grounds when the key is turned.

The two thick wires that come directly off the window motor. All the windows and door locks work as does everything else. I checked the pins on the starter relay one has power with the key on. The only noticeable difference is the indicator marker and the headlights don't come on but the taillights do.

Which window? Was the motor disconnected first or where was the power applied? If it was a front window it sounds like the power wiped out the logic in the switch and shorted the lighting (does the dash and other interior lighting still work? Can you dim the dash? With the other systems working it still sounds like the BCM is the issue but trying to determine if it may have done other damage.

Yes all the other lights work and the dash lights dim. It was the passenger window. I'm not sure if it was disconnected before the power was supplied. Just trying to help a friend figure it out.

And if it is the BCM would it need to be replaced or could the one in the vehicle be reprogrammed?

Most likely if it was connected it took the BCM out with the voltage going into a wrong circuit. It would need to be replaced if it's the problem. Then it would need to be programmed.
