I recently replaced the engine on my ford focus and when I try to start it, it doesn’t do anything, it doesn’t crank or turn over and the instrument cluster is blank and none of the gauge is working. I tried to pull the codes and couldn’t get any scan tool to communicate with the vehicle. All fuses and relays are good.

Hello do you have power at any fuses? And power at the data link connector pin 16? With engine replacements, ground wires can be left off by accident, you could do a quick test with some jumper cables, and run grounds from battery negative to the engine block and body of the vehicle, and see if it restores power, its a quick and dirty test, but it will at least give you some direction. Just use the jumper cables as ground wires, dont hook them up to any power of course.

Yep, it sounds like you don't have a main system ground connected or one of the "mega" fuses has popped. Here is the location of the grounds and the mega fuses so you can check them out.

Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
