master cylinder is full but I hear a swooshing sound when I apply the brake pedal. Pedal goes all the way to the floor.

Every thing was fine prior to this?
Did you run out of fluid?
If my 1st question received a 'yes', w/ no fluid having been lost,
Mr. Master Cylinder's piston/ plunger seal may have tore/ wore out and it can no longer 'push' fluid, it's allowing it to pass on by the seal.
