Stereo not working properly, no AM or FM reception only CD and tape work

Hi, my radio only gets static on AM and FM. It's a factory Alpine Motorcraft radio for the car listed above.
Trunk mounted 6 CD player works fine as does the tape.
Been like this since I bought it.
Car does have a small box with two antennae looking things sticking out of it mounted on the inside of the front windshield, over the driver's sun visor, (not sure if that's for the radio or not.) see picture.

Hello,

This is probably a case of the antenna coming unplugged from the back of the stereo. In the diagrams down below I have included Pinpoint Test E and the instructions for the removal and installation of your vehicle's stereo. Please use Pinpoint Test E only if the antennae was not unplugged from the back of the stereo. You will need to take the stereo out to check the antennae connection in the back. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you find out.
