I have a mountain between where I live and where I work to start off with a little background.
I'm having issues accelerating in fourth and fifth gear 50-55 mph and actually dropped to 42 on my way in today but it's only when I come from home to work. coming from work to home I have no issue accelerating and hitting 60-65 going uphill (just to see if I could because of the lack of accelerating the opposite way).
I've only ever had issues accelerating like this once when I first put on the cold air intake I have for it however it's been on the car for close to if not more than two weeks. on the days I work I drive 50+ miles round-trip and I also drove 200+ twice in that time frame so maybe it's the intake still adjusting However it was already adjusted and was climbing the hill fine prior to these past few days ?
I've tried looking up what it could be just to get some sort of idea and I've seen transmission slipping (no revving however so I doubt it that), fuel pump, air filter (mentioned above) and the last thing was the catalytic converter being clogged I believe?
