I am asking questions because i not only think i was ripped off, but my safety as well. I took my car 7 months ago for brakes (just pads, and i thought they trued the rotors), they were making the indicating noise...when i left the shop the noise was gone. Then this past sunday, i took my car for tires. they told me i needed front brake pads and rotors, i said there was no way - i just had this done 7 months - 11,700 miles ago. sure enough it was metal on metal and the rotors where destroyed. I asked to keep the pads and rotors because i feel like something is really wrong here... i took the car to the same "chain" place except 2 different locations.. and 2 different stories.... please help. I am looking for opinions, because if they did not change these pads 7 months ago, that means they turned me lose in the ice and snow...on bad breaks....
