The dealership diagnosed my check engine light as a malfunctioning IACV and wanted to charge me $400 in labor to install it. I am hoping for some advice as to what complications or preciseness comes with installing such that it would justify so much labor. What should I be wary of if I do it myself?

Hi clayofthe757,

The book time for replacement of the component is 1.2 hours and the amount quoted is rather pricey.

This is a straight forward job and only thing you need to do is to remove components that are in the way to get to IACV.
