I purchased my 2000 Xterra used. It has an open air filter that badly
needs to be replaced. I don't know the brand or how to get a filter
that has the same fittings so that all the sensors can be inserted into
it.
I believe that the Xterra came from California so the filter may be
available from there. I purchased a generic open air filter on ebay but
it does not have these holes or fittings for the sensors (engine temperature sensor & resonator??).

The filter I purchased on ebay does not have the same fittings. My
mechanic recommends getting one with the same fittings instead of trying
to punch holes in the filter I bought to fit the sensors.
Does anyone know which brand of filter that is in my Xterra or another
brand with the same fittings and where I can purchase one?
Thanks,

I have just cleaned the Tenzo Racing Filter with the K&N Cleaning Kit about 3 times and then oiled it after it dried. I did use some light heat from a blow dryer to dry the filter as it is winter time and the filter would take a long time to dry without any heat at all. I think that the filter looks quite good and I will wait a day before starting the engine to make sure that the oil on the filter has completely dried.
