Hello, I own a 93 nissan hard body 4cyl with automatic transmission. It has 94,000 miles. I bought this truck from friends of my family a few years ago. They were not happy with its gas mileage. It was only getting 18 miles to the gallon. It only had 20,000 miles on it when they bought it and the mileage has always been the same. They had it checked often and could never increase the mileage. When i boguht it i tuned it up, repalced oxygen sensor, new filters. Never have increased mileage one bit.
I talked to someone before who has teh same problem and said it was common for that year model for the 4cyl to get mielage liek an 8 cyl .
can you help me? i

I want you to describe the type of tune-up you've done on it. Then I'll give you my way of tuning

thank you for your response
new spark plugs, wires, rotary button, oxygen sensor,
fuel filter. (may be time for a new fuel filter) I believe that was it and the mileage never changed. what do you think?

Hey.. there is some oil called High Mileage oil or something... I hear it is used for cars that are
A) very old or
B) drive at highway speeds often.

Now, once you convert, I don't think you can go back, and there is a price increase... but it has helped my 4 door sentra from '98... maybe you could check that out...
