auto parts store said no solenoid for starter so ordered starter. starter came in and information sheet said to replace 2 relays. relays came in today but i can't find the relays at all... i am dealing with a Auto Value store in a small town in nebraska.
The starter i have will sometimes work and sometimes not. if i try the key when it doesn't work, maybe two or maybe ten times and the starter will work... gives me fits. charlie

Inspect/test/swap the clutch interlock relay and clutch position switch see below-this 2 checks out your problem is coming from the ignition switch.

finally got the clutch inhibit relay but that didn't fix the problem so took the truck in to them. they checked it out and the starter was bad. so truck is on the road again and the dealership was reasonable on their charges for repair and reimbursed me for the clutch inhibit relay to boot. thanks for the help here. charlie
