1988 Nissan Truck Ign Coil

1988 Nissan Truck 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

This truck has no spark to start .
I pulled the 2 wires with clip from the coil and I check
For power when you turn on Ign.
We have power .
I pulled Coil wire from distb. and Ground it out to frame and cranked engine
Still no spark . I check coil wire it is good .
To me we have bad coil .
Do I need to check Ground wire from coil wire plug to
+ post on battery to see if we have ground.
