Hello, my brake lights are stuck on and won't flash when the pedal is pushed--the only way to turn them off is to disconnect the battery cable. I can't find the short between the battery and the place the wires enter the body near the taillight area, and the dealer says the only access to the taillights is through the truckbed. I have a camper shell and a bed liner that I don't really want to have to take off just to check for a bad light bulb or obvious bad wire right next to it. Any suggestions to avoid paying $400 for something that might be fixable for a $4 bulb for all we know? (Can another wire be run as a bypass near the engine?) Thanks for thinking on this.
