I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra XE with 50k miles/1.8L/4 cylinder. When the clutch is pushed in there is a "creaking" noise. Even if its partially pushed in or completely in the noise is there and then it goes away when I let the clutch out. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I'm really hoping that I don't need a new clutch for such low miles. I'm trying to sell my car and that's the only problem I have.

It could be the release bearing you still have to go in and investigate-oh! BTW there's other things to consider the clutch/pressure plate. The way you describe it am going for the throwout bearing.
