Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Automatic 110000 miles

Hi,
I have a 110000mile nissan sentra, today I was on the highway, and all at a sudden the engine doesn't respond to the gas pedal anymore, "check engine light soon" came on. Pulled over, tried to restart the car, but the engine wouldn't start up. Finally the engine came on after a few tries, but the engine did the same thing right away. I end up had the car towed. I havnt had any major machanical work done on my car recently. I'm absolutely out of ideas. Does anyone know what going on with my car?
