Lets do below for a start to determine if its fuel or spark related issue and get back asap.

Get a helper disconnect a spark plug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

Fuel filter is in the fuel tank- part of the pump assembly. See diagrams below for changing it

This car does not have a serviceable fuel filter. The only one it has is built into the fuel pump assembly and is not serviced as maintenance.

I doubt it's for your car and wouldn't fix anything anyway. You need to read your fuel pressure, not throw parts at it.

I have a 2004 SER SpecV, and I thought i needed to replace the fuel filter myself as well. According to my owners manual, the sentras do not have an actual fuel filter. Almost impoosible, but I was told that it has a fuel screen attached to the fuel pump. You can call your local nissan dealer to make sure, but as far as I am told they dont have an actual canister filter as your normal car would.

It is true no fuel filter that can be replaced. It is not servicable. It is part of the fuel pump in the tank.

My info shows the fuel filter is part of fuel pump assembly. Don't know if you can replace separately from pump? Online partsbook didn't show separate fuel filter?

If the plugs are drenched with fuel, it shows that you have fuel,so the pump is working. But the system may not maintain the fuel at the proper pressure.

Before you change any of the parts, I would get the fuel pressure tested at the rail. If it s losing pressure, replace the fuel pressure regulator.

You will need a fuel pressure gauge to do this test, such as Actron CP7818
