MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I CHANGE THE GAS CAP AND AFTER 60 MILES THE LIGHT WENT OUT. IF IT COME BACK ON WHERE SHOULD I LOOK.
SHOULD I CHANGE THE O2 SENSOR IN FRONT OF THE ENGINE NEXT?
THANK YOU
LOU

Before you replace any other unnecessary parts, go get your computer scanned. Most parts store will do it for free.

It has something to do with your EVAP canister. The EVAP canister is located towards the back of the car, close to the fuel tank. It is supposed to collect all gas fumes and burn it off while the car is running. The system is operated by a vacuum-controlled solenoid valve. Most likely the valve is going bad on you.

If I remember right, the valve has an electrical connector and 2 maybe 3 vacuum hoses of different sizes, so you won't mess up. Usually there are 2 or 4 screws holding it.

As far as the cost, it is a dealer part only. So, call your Nissan dealer.
