Air Conditioning problem
1998 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

When I turn on my air conditioning my engine starts to smoke. Could this be from an old oil spillage/left my oil cap off for a few days. Cleaned it (engine) as best I could,Iknow it needs to be cleaned more.Also,old,engine,oil smell comes in through the vents.

Also,I would like to know about when a clicking type of a noise is heard when I turn the key;is it my starter,or the battery going badI I already changed the battery,about a month ago,when this happened before. A tow man said it was the battery,I thought it was the starter.What is your answer? Thanks.
