Low Oil

I have a 2003 Nissian Pathfinder, Chilkoot. It is a manual transmission and has 67,000km's on it. I recently had to have the PCV valve replaced on it because oil had leaked into it. Three weeks later (about 1000km's) I checked my oil level and it is at low and the oil is dirty. There are no external oil leaks. I have checked my exhaust and there is black soot in the pipe. Which to means I'm burning oil, which shouldn't happen at 67,000kms. What could be wrong with it? Is it my head gasket?

You need to change the valve seals.
