I have a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder that is leaking oil from the oil pump gasket. A local garage (non-dealer) wants 10 hours of labor to replace the oil pump gasket but is a bit vague about the details. Says things like "all the stuff in front has to come off". Is this time estimate reasonable? If so, can you shed some light on the basic steps and what/why has to be removed?
