1995 Nissan Pathfinder brake switch replacment

no, brake switch just operate the brake lights. is vehicle starting or not starting at all?

sometimes it does and sometimes it dosnt and i dont know why exactly

i also thought it might be the gear sifht switch because sometimes it hesitates when putting it in gear like drive,or reverse

try starting it in Neutral, if it starts then neutral safety switch is OK.

i tried that sometimes it starts and sometimes it dos'nt

when you say sometimes it doesnt start, what does it do exactly? does it just crank over and over or does it not crank at all? is the check engine light on when driving it?

sometimes it will not crank at all u turn the key and nothing happens like theres no power going to the starter motor and today for the first time the check engine light came on for like two minutes and then went off although the starting problem as stopped for the time being

ok if its not cranking at all sometimes then this could be a failing starter or a failling ignition switch. i suggest having the starter motor tested and if tests OK suspect faulty ignition switch or wiring to switch
