hello! i drive a 1998 Nissan 200SX with about 100K, 1.6 L engine.
i have always done minor repairs on my own, and thus had never been to a mechanic in my new home of Los Angeles until i had an oil leak that required them to fix the crank seal. a couple of days later, my landlord noticed i was leaking coolant. turns out my water pump is leaking.
would it be plausible that they damaged the water pump while doing the other repair, or is it just a coincidence?
