I live in the United Kingdom & I have a nissan micra 2001 model. I've helped my father replace the rear brake shoes but we are having SERIOUS problems in putting the top horizontal brake shoe return spring back! We have tried EVERYTHING but to no avail. Please can anyone give me some advice in case we've missed something!!! 8)

There's a tool that is made for that. 3 in 1 tool.

Okay if you haven't open the other side I suggest you do so. that way you'll know how to position the spring that you're having problems with.

My way I grip it with a pliers and apply some elbow grease and pull and hoping you don't bust a knucklle when you slippped. Or a visegrip.

Thanks for helping me! :) I'll see if we can get the tool.
We have been using the other side as a reference. As for the elbow grease, we've gone through it like wildfire!! 8)
