1995 Other Nissan Models what tools do you need

What tools will I need to change my front axles do I need anything special I have heard that it is not that hard.

It is a 1995 nissan quest it is front wheel drive automatic it needs the two front axles replaced 6 cyl if that helps so is their any special tools needed THANK YOU GUYS A LOT

You don't any special tool to do the job, other than the right axle nut socket (36mm, I believe) and a good size pry bar.

Always do one side at a time. Jack up your van, remove tire. Remove the axle retaining cotter pin and nut. Remove ball joint cotter pin and nut. Once the control arm is free from the steering knuckle, tap the axle out of the hub/knuckle assembly. You don't have to, but removing brake pads and rotor may give you some room.

Once the axle is free of the knuckle, use the pry bar to remove the axle from the transaxle. Oh... put a drain pan underneath it. You will spill some trans fluid.

Assembly is reversed.
