i have a 97 maxima with constant wheel vibration. it seems to be a more common occurance than i realized with maximas. i have read as much as i can about this problem and all the responses have been the same. try changing the tires or wheels or both. try balancing or alignment, but nothing works. there has to be a design flaw in how nissan built the front end of these cars. i see it affecting models from 94 to 04 and all have yet to find a solution. i am going to try replacing the struts in front and shocks in back. also the control arm bushings. its time for new tires anyway so that will happen too. havent decided on changing the wheels. this is a real problem with very little good info to go on.
thanks

If all else fails try looking at the axle shafts for any damage, or for bends...
