Maxima Auto AC control display

1994 Nissan Maxima, 3.0L, Automatic trans, automatic heat/ac controls. The digital dash clock had faded out, but reappeared yesterday when I turned on the auto ac. Now the clock comes on, but the ac and ambient temp displays are out. The ac is working, but no display. Any ideas? Do the clock and the ac dash control have a common circuit?

My 92 max does exactly the same as yrs
and no they are not connected, The clock is because of a faulty capacitor or a dry solder joint, My 9 yr old daughter now knows how to tap the dash just right to get the clock back up. One day soon i'll fix it. The fix can be found by doing a search on the internet, involves removing the clock and repairing. I suspect the a/c controller will be a similar fix.
